James was born on October 3, 1940, in Rome, New York, to Clarence K. Harvey and Mildred M. (Hawkins) Harvey. He was the youngest of three brothers. He graduated from Rome Free Academy.
Jim’s career was filled with many unique experiences and helped to give him a very fulfilling life. He was a farrier, a restaurateur, and, most recently, an associate funeral director. When Jim finally retired, he had the chance to become a volunteer chaplain. This allowed him to share his faith with those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jacqualine (Dombrowski) Harvey, and his children, James Jr. (Candice), Kim McGlasson (John), and Megan Harvey. He was a loving grandfather to Westin Harvey, and his adoring great-grandchildren.
Per Jim’s final request, no services are planned.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in the name of James Harvey to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care.
