My condolences to the family. I apologize that I missed the service. I assumed it was at 1:00 p.m. and as I was getting ready to leave for the service, checked the internet for address and found out the service was at 11:00. Feel terrible.
I knew Jim when he was in elementary school and I babysit for him and his siblings for several years. Jim was a caring child that looked after his brother and sister. They played along with my children and I will never forget him helping my family move down the street in 1972. We borrowed a pickup and Jim being the oldest carried and carried boxes and helped move the furniture. He has gone much too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. May you all find peace coming together on this day.

Sorry I missed the service. I assumed the obit meant 1:00 p.m. Just found out it was 11:00 a.m. (online). I had the privilege of babysitting for Jim, Lisa and Mike in the when they were in grade school when our families were neighbors. All my memories are from so long ago but I remember the mannerly, older brother that looked after his younger siblings. My condolences to the family from a mother who lost her daughter much too early in life. ~Ann Young

I had the pleasure of instructing James during his time at IntelliTec College. He will be missed by all whom knew him. My condolences to his family and friends.

My name is Bernadette Carlson or as Jim used to call me "Bernie". We used to call
Jim "Sasqwatch": I worked with Jim at the Three Thieves on Academy. He was one of my best cooks. Jim was such a great cook that I called Jim from home once because I was trying to impress a man by cooking Filet Mignons on a Hibachi. I didn't want to cut into the steak like I did for myself. Jim asked me how thick were the steaks, how hot were the coals and how far were the steaks from the coals? After telling Jim all of the information, Jim told me to cook the steaks three minutes on each side, and I would have a perfect medium rare. Jim was 100% correct. My steaks were cooked to perfection and I impressed  my date. It saddened me to see that Jim had passed away. Even though it has been years since I have seen Jim, I am deeply saddened by his passing.
