

Jim graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, IL in 1964 and attended Northeast Missouri
State Teachers College in Kirksville, MO, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business.
Jim served his country aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his discharge from the United States Navy, he earned his Master's Degree in Business from
Northern Illinois University.
Jim loved to run and ran many races throughout the country. Among his many accomplishments were the Boston Marathon, the Pikes Peak Marathon and the Pikes Peak Ascent. He was assistant swim coach for the Coronado High School Boys Swim Team and spent
a few years as assistant swim coach for the Girls Swim Team. He also was assistant coach for
some local club teams. He coached his sons on both club teams and at Coronado.
Jim is survived by his wife, Pamela of Colorado Springs, his son James of Colorado Springs and
his son Christopher (wife, Michelle) of Collierville, TN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00am, May 15, 2015 at Chapel of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coronado High School-Boys
