We are here today to celebrate the life of our father, husband, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Jim McClure. He began his journey on October 1, 1947 in Ft Collins and it ended April 3, 2016. Growing up in our household, you had to love music. All kinds of music. Our dad taught us to not just listen to the lyrics but to feel them. We could go from John Denver to Bob Marley to Pink Floyd in a second. Those were our lullabies. One of the joys that we all shared was to watch our beloved Denver Broncos! That was family time for all us kids and grandkids with mom and dad. The eating and shouting and togetherness was always something we looked forward too! No matter what. We had many camping trips growing up. Our dad was more at home in the mountains and in nature than anywhere else. He loved hunting and fishing. He was much better at catching fish than he was at hunting! I think it’s because the fish could not smell the cinnamon discs that our dad would suck on while hunting and they couldn't hear the nylon jacket that made noise every time he moved. Just a guess. He loved corny movies that we still watch today. It brings back so many memories of ridiculous laughter and just plain losing it! Our dad was the youngest of 5 children, Ann Berg (Bob Alaska), Elaine Oster (Ted LaSalle, CO) Ginger McClure (Boulder, CO) and John McClure (Kathleen, Montana). He loved you all very much and told us fun stories of your childhood! He loved all his nieces and nephews very much as well. He and our beautiful mother had been married almost 48 years. During that time, they had 4 incredible kids together. Kelly James (Michelle), Mindy Ann (Bill), Krista Kay (Jeff) and Jennifer Sue. Then, those incredible kids went onto have incredible grand kids! Nicholas Scott James Noble, Kyle Steele Vaughn, Kaylie Justine Noble, Nash William Vaughn, Sierra Lynne Johnson, Zachary Rylan McClure, Jacob David McClure, Gavin Vincent Noble and Natalie Brianne Kekich. He loved you all to pieces. We will all miss hearing your stories, laughing at your jokes and your love. You are gone sooner than we would have liked but your life was never in our hands. You will be missed more than words can say. We have always loved our husband, friend, uncle, grandpa and our daddy and always will. You are free.
