Jean Jennings, age 74 of Woodland Park, Colorado passed away peacefully on April 14th. She was born on May 30, 1949 to Ivan and Beth Jennings. She is survived by her brother Clayton Jennings, sister Ann Jennings Klute, and husband Michael Croft, whom she married June 15, 1984. She attended Palmer High School and graduated from Victor High School in 1967. She attended Colorado State University and graduated in 1971 with a B.A. in Fine Arts. She taught art in Colorado Springs School District 20, for over 25 years. She was always well liked by her students and was head of the art department at Air Academy High School when she retired. She had her own pottery business, Jennart and Pottery, for many years and was a member of the Commonwheel Artists Co-op. She has received several awards for her pottery and is best known for her teapots and creative sculptures. Jean was an avid outdoor enthusiast and excelled at downhill skiing and whitewater canoeing. She also enjoyed hiking and climbing Colorado’s 14ers.
