

Jean was a compassionate and strong-willed individual who with a mix of humor and straight-forwardness was never hesitant to let her opinion known. A good cook who enjoyed preparing meals for all occasions as well as for unannounced drop-in visitors, of which there were many of.
Jean had a great love of all animals. She enjoyed a stint as a volunteer at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Visitors to her home were always greeted with at least one sometimes several of a variety of the largest breeds of dogs.
For the last twenty years, and up to her passing, Jean was a State Security Coordinator at the Kairos Prison Ministry International Foundation which brought Christ’s love and forgiveness to prison inmates and their families.
Jean is survived by children Kathryn Germany, Louise Main and Dave Yanchek (Jean). Grandchildren Anna Yanchek, Nathan Yanchek, Ian Setzer, Brandon Germany and great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in
death by her parents, husband of 51 years William Yanchek; brothers Jay Myers Jr, Jack Myers, William Myers; Sisters Margaret Mitchell and Nancy Rannels.
