I was a patient of Dr Jenks from 2005 up until he quit practiceing. He treated me both pre and post opp for lumbar herniated discs and fusion surgery. I have many other health issues. When no one else was able to figure out what was happening to me Dr Jenks listened. I mean he really listened and did some tests on me. He was the first Dr to figure out I have Fibromyalgia and helped me with pain management. He was and is the best doctor I have ever known. I'm truly sadend by your loss. We have all lost our favorite doctor....the one who listened. 

Im so saddened by the news.  I started seeing Dr. Jenks about 27 years ago.  He was the most compassionate doctor I ever met.  I always trusted him to provide the best care and treatment.  The last few visits I seen him, I told him he was never allowed to retire and he could never mentor anyone that would be as great!  He just laughed.  He will be truly missed and my prayers go out to the family.  He was a very special person!

I came to him on a walker as the last alternative before surgery and 
he literally gave me my life back.I will never forget him.He will always be in my prayers.

Dear Jenks kids:  

I started seeing your dad as a patient in 1997 when I herniated a disc in my low back.  He was a phenomenal doctor, and I continued to see him for years.  My last visit was during a flare up in 2014.  We had a running joke that I was on the 7 year plan, seeing him in 1997, 2004, 2011, although I did fall off schedule with that flare up in 2014 when I saw him last.  

I did a couple of mini triathlons with his blessing, and remember talking to him about his first one at Gates Country Club.  We got to laughing so hard when he said the water was so shockingly cold when he dove in, he could only dog paddle!  

My kids are similar in age to you, so we shared that, too.  He told about about reading issues one of you experienced and I wrote the name of Ronda S on a piece of paper that I carried in my wallet for years.  My daughter was probably 1st grade at the time, but I had some concerns about her reading.  It later became apparent that she was not getting the help she needed through the school system, so I dug that paper out of my wallet and called Ronda.  My daughter was diagnosed as dyslexic, we got her in with a wonderful tutor, and she went on to excel in school and a career as an engineer.  I will always be grateful I had that conversation with your dad which led to getting the help my daughter needed. 

I've been healthy neck/back wise since 2014.  I don't want to think about what I'm going to do if/when I have that next flareup.  I am so sorry for your loss.
