Jeremy was born on Thanksgiving morning November 22nd, 1979, in Apple Valley CA. to Vern and Wilma Crooks, Jeremy was the 1st of 3 children.
Growing up in Hinkley California desert. (He would tell you we moved a lot when he was little). He spent a lot of time at hills dairy with aunt Lori, uncle Henry and cousins Gabe, Nathan, and Jed Roberts swimming in the reservoir, chasing frogs and having fun. Jeremy enjoyed off road racing, riding motorcycles, skateboarding, racing his BMX bike and playing baseball for the Hinkley pirates.
While attending Silver Valley High School, Jeremy played on the football and baseball teams.
Jeremy was blessed with a trip of a lifetime to live in Egypt for a summer with his cousin Tim Crooks (boy did they have stories to tell).
After high school Jeremy moved to New York for a time, then settled in Colorado Springs to be closer to family and start his own.
Jeremy primarily worked as an Electrician; he worked throughout Colorado including Union Pacific Railroad and most recently with Quality Auto Performance. Jeremy enjoyed building and creating things, from furniture to salsa. He was adventurous. He made friends wherever he went, he was so fun to be around, so funny. Did I mention how funny he was?
He loved being a Father! Family and friends were always important in his life, and he was always willing to lend a hand.
Weekend BBQ’s, backyard volleyball, bowling, Sunday football gatherings, birthdays, holidays, he was always up for a good time he even raced a few times in the Manitou Coffin Races. He touched so many lives in his short time. He will be missed dearly!
Jeremy leaves behind his four beautiful Children: Codi "sister", Cameron "Bubba" Cori "cheechee" and Rayla Crooks.
His Parents Wilma (Dewey) and Vern (Dave) Crooks. His Sister Jamie (Crooks) Guerrero, and Brother Justin Crooks and Fiancée Claudia Velaquez.
His only Niece Thayla Guerrero and 5 Nephews Daniel Guerrero Jr., Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Josiah and Sailele Crooks. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Services and Celebration of life will be held on February 4th, 2024, 1:00 pm at the Red Rocks Barn 2700 Robinson St. Colorado Springs, CO. 80904.
