Jerrod, my family will truly miss you. When remembering you I can't help but remember when I would do some little thing for you, you would always say Thank You so much Carrol.  You were so Thankful for any little thing done for you. When visiting you in the hospital you were so sick and you never ever complained. When Mariah had her birthday party you made sure you were there for her even though you were not feeling up to it. You were the best of the best at painting. It amazed me how you painted so quickly and yet were such a perfectionist. You never ever waisted paint or got more paint than you needed. Thanks so much for all you did for Dave and I. We will truly miss you. You know time goes so fast and as the Bible says in Ecclesiastes death comes to all. In the third chapter it says there is a season, A time for every purpose in heaven. A time to be born And a time to die. It says so much more about life as it is.  I know I will see you again Jerrod in Heaven. Until than.  Carrol Ellis

Hey cuzz its crazy how time flies and how life seems to just keep going. I read messages me n you had on fb and I regret not getting together with you when we had the chance. I have so many good memories of us most of them us being in trouble lol but I just miss you. I cant imagine the pain your girl is going thru right now but anything she needs im there. I still have your number in my phone and just look at it sometimes.  I love you cuzzo ill see you on the other side

Jerrod, I can't believe it has been a month. Everyday I just keep waiting for you to just walk through our door and you don't. It is so hard when Mariah breaks down and cries for you at night and I try to be tough but I can't help it and we cry together. It seems even harder knowing my family in one day has not only had to go through  your passing but has been torn apart. Finding the norm has not came to me yet but I pray daily for it. I miss you singing to me and just being the rock that listen to me about work and anything I went through. Nobody will  ever be able to replace you in my heart I miss you so much. I love you so much and I just want to tell you thank you for loving me and Mariah as your baby girl. I miss your arms around me and that smell of yours that nobody will be able to replace. I love you and I can't wait for the day we will be in heaven holding hands.

My Dear Son,it has been almost a moth since you left this world for a better place. I miss the call"hey Pops" Mom misses " Hi Mom " coming from you. raising you ,we all had challenges, you turned out to be a fine young man. Loving your family and friends. You always stood up for those you loved ,you worked hard to the very end,trying your best to support your family. You left us a precious gift in  Troy. I still see Mom holding your and comforting you after you took your last breath. the only sound in the room was the quit sobbing of your family. Mom and I stayed she wanted you to not be afraid and held you for a long time. Jerrod we have a large hole in our hearts,time will perhaps make the hole smaller,but it will always be there. Say Hi to Gg and grandpa,know that you are loved and missed by those you left behind. I know you are helping the Man upstairs with painting projects,he needed the best. Jerrod, everybody misses you so much. I have a picture of you with all your sisters, brothers and cousins taken at our wedding reception. When I see the picture I always wonder how we ever kept you still long enough to get that photo. When you were little I will never forget your blonde, blonde hair, red cheeks and the mischievous sparkle in your eye. You were a handful. As a grown man it was easy to see you were very gentle, kind and a terrific father. We are honored to have been part of your life. Rest in peace. Will see again someday. Love you.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

The last time I got to talk to Jerrod was on July 19th, 2014 at John Tiegen's pig roast. Jerrod walked up with Michelle by his side and hung out with all of his friends. I know he had a great time visiting with everyone. We never thought that would be the last time we saw him. You never know what life will throw your way. We are all better people for having you in our lives Jerrod. Until we meet again we will miss you. Love you always.

Jerrod ws always thinking of others. One year he bought Danny's mom JoEtta ribbon candy for Christmas and a rose from the renaissance festival. She still has that today. When we worked at Wendy's together he always made sure everyone made it to the car before leaving. Especially the women. What an amazing gentleman.

I met Jerrod at Horace Mann in the 7th grade. He was the kid who always hung out with the tough group. I always remember him hanging out with Danny, John, Matt, and Josh. Tim came into the picture I think between 7th and 8th grade. Jerrod was always looking out for his friends. He was very very protective of them. I remember they all had SO MUCH hair back then.....not so much now. Ha Ha!!!

Roy and Mary, Very sorry to hear of Jerrod's passing.  Never forget meeting Jerrod when we were kids on one of our first family trips to Colorado.  I was around 5 years old and I remember meeting Jerrod and getting my fingers pinched in a some sort of gate.  We were about the same age, and I am not sure he wanted me to steal any of his thunder  :) I laugh at that experience now looking back on it.  Cherish the memories and let them make you smile.

I am so sorry for your loss.  My heart breaks for you, Roy and Maryellen and for all of the family.  May Jerrod's memories be a blessing for you.  God bless you.

Jerrod, we loved when you came to our house for your visits and uncle Steve enjoyed working with you so much. You went from a sweet and mischievous child(with a great deal of help from two other little boys) to a kind and good man. We will always treasure our memories of you.

Jerrod  I still have the bowling clock you got me and the back steel rose from the resonance festival when we were 16 and 17. I'm going to miss you forever. I love you. <3

More than a few times Jerrod and I put ourselves in stitches laughing at the near-criminal behavior of our childhood. I will never forget the fun we had roaming around the world that was our elementary school and neighborhood.

Roy and Mary,  My heart is broken for you have lost your dear son Jerrod.  There are no words to express the pain you must feel.  May the Lord bring you some level of peace in the days and years ahead.

I met Jerrod for the first time in 2006.  I was new in the country and newly married.  I remember one evening, that same year, I attended a little party with my husband at some one's house.  But it was too much for me very soon and I did not want to stay.  But since my husband had to stay back, he asked Jerrod to take me home. I felt bad that because of me, this guy would have to cut short his party/down time..  Without a single murmur he said, "I need to go home too anyway, I have work tomorrow morning."  It immediately made me feel better that I was not imposing. And in the entire drive home, I shared all the trouble I was having living as a foreigner in America and how much I missed my family and home country in India.  He actually listened through out the 30 minute drive and gave me some encouraging words and was very kind.   I never ever forgot that evening he helped me out and listened patiently to my babbling, never once making me feel like I talked too much..  That was the only time I had a deep talk with him.  Through the years since, meeting him off and on, here and there when we ran into each other at mutual friends homes or on the road, I perceived him to be a man who was sensitive, and cared deeply for  his family and friends.  I am glad I got to know him, just a little bit and am sorry he had to go so soon.  My condolences and sympathies to his family and close friends.  May God give you the comfort and solace that each of your hearts need in the portion you require it daily.

Dear Roy and Mary , I am so sad for the loss of your son, my nephew.  My heart breaks for the pain you must be feeling.  I will always remember Jerrod's beautiful sweet smile.

It's always hard losing someone, harder when it's a family member, but especially hard losing someone who you practically grew up with.  Even though we grew apart throughout the years, as most do, I will always remember hanging out with you and Matt throughout my childhood.  I will see you in the future cousin and though your pain is over, our pain will remain till we see you again my friend.  Love you Jerrod.

I met Jerrod  meany years ago, I only knew him briefly but I remember him as a kind and generous young man. May he rest in peace.

We will always remember Jerrod with his big smile bright blue eyes.  Our world is a sadder place without him in it. He will always be with the ones he loves in spirit, watching over all of you.  Our prayers are with all of you a this time.  Be comforted that he is with God and his angels.

2011 John and Margie, Jerrod and Michelle and Troy, myself and my wife went up to the mountains to attempt something called Tough Mudder.
We already had one friend not come, then Jerrod told us he wasn't going to either. With a little encouragement (only the way buddies can) he was persuaded to do so, and he killed it. 
I met Jerrod in Middle School along with his brother Matt, both whom I always liked. I didn't get to see Jerrod often, but when I did, it was always a good time. 
He'll will be missed and remembered always.

I remember going to family get-togethers and saying hello to Jerrod. He was always easy to strike up a conversation with and that smile and those blue eyes would make you smile. Our thoughts are with you and your family. We wish you peace in the coming days. With heartfelt sympathy.

Jerrod was a kind soul and a good man.i remember a fourth of July a long long time ago, it was me, Jerrod, my brother josh and John tiegen. We were setting off fireworks ,but we had something else in mind. Instead of setting them off in the air we decided to go to war with each other and light them against each other. :).I know that's not the brightest thing to do but we all sure had a blast doing it.
