Oh Mama how you are missed everyday! Your laughter, your voice, your phone calls. Now I wish the phone would ring one more time. My greatest memory is the love you had/have for Jesus. How it impacted everything you did. When I had the privilege to be with you we would go shopping, and I always had to wait on you because you would meet someone , and make a new friend. We all knew that you never met a stranger. Thank you for the love you shared with your circle of influence! Well done though good , and faithful servant!  Missing you here, but I will see you over in eternity!

My really tried to show up to every special event. This was Elissa’s 8th grade graduation. Bethany just got got done with her Junior year, Hope ended 5th grade and Grace ended preschool. Little did we know that year was going to change our lives. Bethany is entered Heaven December 27, 2011. From that day forward I wanted to capture moments of life. That’s all we have. We are here then we are gone.

I will always have fond memories of you my dear sister in law . Peace.

My nana no words can explain how much I miss you. I miss hearing your voice. I miss laughing with you. I miss telling you im going to pick you up. Ever since I was little you had that nickname for us. I was your froglegs. I remember growing up and you still called me and it was ours.  I remember all the times we went to get pie at village in on wednesday nights or we would have breakfest at Wades.  I cherish those memoreis. I lookaround my house all the things are from you. The special things you gave me over the year. I will cherish them forever. I know you are listening to me from heaven. I love you my froglegs.

Nana (as I came to fondly call her) was kind, gentle, loving, and generous — sometimes to a fault. I remember when I first came to America in 2020; Nana visited and tried my Nigerian stew for the first time. I think she liked it. However, she complained a bit about the pepper in the stew (I eat a lot of pepper, if you know me). That moment sparked our relationship. She especially loved how I talked about my culture and the way we do things as a people. She truly understood what culture meant and how important it was to me personally. She was even glad to know that purple was my favorite color and gave me a purple bible for Christmas.
Nana deeply loved her family. She helped me understand even more that blood is thicker than water. She will be missed, and her memory will linger on.

I miss you.. I loved you so deeply and this pain I feel is absolutely terrible. I close my eyes and I just imagine all the phone calls, laughs, hugs, and just your sweet voice. I miss your voice. I know you weren’t meant to be on earth forever I just never thought you would be gone so fast... you really were a pillar for me.

Nana gave the best hugs. They were warm, safe, and full of love. Her hugs made everything feel okay.

Someone once told me your smile is your signature. That is what you had. Your smile was bright and so beautiful. I’m so thankful that I have this beautiful memory of that smile. I miss you every moment.

My best memories with Tia were when she came to our house for dinner almost everyday when we lived in Colorado Springs. After we moved, we kept the tradition by going out for lunch at Cracker Barrel.  I miss you so much my beautiful Tia.
