Jimmy Lee Amack, 75, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away January 23, 2025. He was born September 5, 1949, in St. Francis, Kansas. After high school, he received training at the vocational school in Goodland, Kansas before moving to Colorado Springs in 1985, where he worked in the telecommunications industry for much of his career.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Yan (Hu) Amack; his children Cindy Picton, Christa Pulver, Camie Dukes (Andrew), Carey Amack, Ashley Hayworth (Justin), Chen Zhao (Hsiu-Hsin); the mother of his daughters, Judy Linin; brother Gary Amack (Vicki); and eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Keith Amack, mother Shirley Amack, and brothers Merlin and Marvin. Forever a stoic and strong man, Jim was a cowboy at heart. He loved his family deeply and frequently engaged in discussions about the weather and politics with neighbors.
Services are Tuesday, January 28, 2025, 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 N. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Subsequent burial will occur at the Lawn Ridge Cemetery in rural St. Francis, Kansas.
