JoAnne McLeod

Helen ‘JoAnne’ McLeod beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on September 25, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Kingston/Barriefield Ontario, Canada, on May 18, 1940. Her siblings are Darlene (deceased) David and Donald.

JoAnne was a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1961. She went on to acquire her BA from Loretta Heights College and MSN from University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, CO.

She actively worked in various nursing capacities eg. Director of Nursing for the Pueblo City/County Health Department and Kaiser Permanente Quality Resource Management, Colorado Springs, from which she retired.

Family and friends were extremely important to her in life as was the health and direction of our country when chose to become a citizen.

She was a thoughtful and caring person to all and always interested in learning through travel and reading.

She leaves behind loving husband, Ken, and children, son Brant, daughter Kirsten (Peck), son in law Tony, son Christopher (deceased), daughter in law Artemesa.

Dear grandchildren Nicholas, Tyler, Connor and Devin, and many extended family members and great friends.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Pikes Peak Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 pm, at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. Funeral Mass scheduled for Friday 11 am, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with reception to follow at church.
