

Jose Thomas Salazar, born July 4th, 1934, in Gardner, Colorado, was called home on July 10th, 2017. He is proceeded in death by his six siblings and his great granddaughter, Emma, and is survived by his wife, Priscilla, and sister, Ernestine Trujillo. Tom and Priscilla were married for 56 years. Tom is also survived by his six children and their families. Gregory and Yvonne Salazar, Tom and Mary Salazar, Francisco Salazar, Rodney and Andrea Salazar, Deedee and Steve Scott, and Josephine and Dave Rodriguez. He was blessed with eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Tom was a veteran of the United States Navy, he served four years. He attended Pueblo Community College where he met his wife (Priscilla). He worked for 33 1/2 years in civil service, retiring out of NORAD. After retiring, he pursued a second career with King Soopers, where he worked for ten years.
Dad loved the outdoors, particularly fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening in his yard. He loved his family, enjoyed barbeques and good conversation. He was also a history buff and a Broncos fan. He took pride in his family, their accomplishments, those that served and continue to serve in the military.
He was humble, kind, generous, and will be greatly missed by his family. We love you and you will always be in our hearts.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, July 13,2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 926 Farragut Ave, with internment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
