Joe was born on March 11, 1950 in Lorain Ohio to John Joseph and Margaret Mary McKee (Andrews). He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1968 and joined the U.S. Airforce in 1973. He retired after 20 years of service then went on to work for Lockheed-Martin for 13 years.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, The Pikes Peak Little British Car Group, and the self proclaimed President of the Corny Joke Club.
Joe is survived by his wife Peggy Marie McKee, sons Kyle Patrick McKee and Sean Shamus McKee, daughter Colette Marie Barnes, sister Mary Loretta Campbell, brother John Reagan McKee, and 9 grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
