Joshua was born on January 8, 1990 in Houston, TX to parents James Timothy Day and Terri Denise (Wells) Day. He received his high school diploma from Seven Lakes High School in Katy, TX in 2009, and he went on to work in Colorado post graduation.
Joshua had a passion for sports, and excelled in every sport he would try. Baseball, basketball and football are where he particularly shined and was always a thrill for his family to watch. He also loved music, specifically hip hop, and he combined his two favorite hobbies of sports and music and channeled them in to an abundant hometown pride. Being from Houston, and being a Texan is something that Joshua was immensely proud of. Texas was home to him, and he carried it in his heart wherever he went. He was also an avid lover of sneakers, and an ardent collector of rare Air Jordan’s. He was known for his love of family, personal style, quick wit, his infectious smile, his charming sense of humor and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Orion & Annie Wells and his paternal grandfather Charles Day. He is survived by his parents, mother Terri Day and his father James Day, his sister Sarah Day Ring and her husband Derek Ring, his nephews Emerson & Sawyer and niece Isla. Additionally his aunts and uncles; Dianne Hudson, Rebecca Wells (Karen Roehl), Angie Tapley (Mike Tapley), Jeff Day (Becky Day) and cousins.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, April 29th at Highland Park United Methodist Church at 3:30 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Highland Park United Methodist Church at 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas TX 75205.
