

Joyce Elaine Marshall was born January 19th, 1938 in Dodge City Kansas she passed away January 13th, in Colorado Springs Colorado, she was 85 years old. She was one of five children to Stella Mae (Garrison) Pennington and Lyle Clifford Pennington. She was a majorette in High School and a very good student. She married Kirk Byron Marshall on January 5th 1957, in Pasadena California. They were married for 50 wonderful years. He was in the United States Army and they traveled together to many places overseas. Joyce and Kirk learned to speak German after living in Germany for a few years. They were both HAM radio operators while living in Germany.
Joyce was a bookkeeper and bridal consultant for Norberts Jewelers in Hornell New York for many years. After Kirk retired from the Army they bought the jewelry store. After years of being in retail sales they closed the store and moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to their family.
Joyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as a primary president for nine years teaching children the gospel. She loved children and had a gift for teaching. Joyce loved football and the Buffalo Bills. She loved playing dominoes and bingo with her friends at Belcaro where she lived for 11 years. Joyce was an amazing wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. She was very kind, giving and always helped others in need.
She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Kirk, her son William and her granddaughter Taryn Elkins. She is survived by her daughters Anna Marshall (Jeanette Groh) and Adele Marshall, her grandsons Garrison Elkins (Misty), Christian Elkins (Katelyn) and Patricke Marshall-Clancy (Heather), her great grandsons Thomas, Patricke Junior, Finnigan and Sullivan Marshall-Clancy, Dean, Jaxx and Killian Elkins. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
