

Karen was a beloved sister, wife and mother. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Clinton, Maryland.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander D. Verbitski; daughter, Sherri Verbitski; and brother, James Carman. She is survived by and older brother, William Carmen, of San Jose, California; her husband Ernest L. Curtin, of Colorado Springs; three sons Ernest L Curtin II, of Colorado Springs, Alexander D. Verbitski II, James E. Curtin of Maryland; and daughter, Theresa L. Hemmer of Southern Maryland. She is also survived by her five grand children Judy, Lacy, Tim, Tyler and Tanner; great granddaughter, Ava, with another on the way.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 5:00-7:00pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Memorial Gardens at 2:00pm.
She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
