Kathy was born June 12, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Charles (Chick) and Rose Spannon Caswell. The Caswells operated a dairy farm that later became a small cattle ranch. Kathy always loved cattle and country life, choosing to work outside over housework. Her sister Karen shares that as children, the two struck a deal where Kathy would work outside, and Karen did the inside housework. This love of the outdoors, animals, and the country life followed Kathy's entire life.
Kathy attended Falcon School District 49 and completed her high school education with the Falcon School District.
Kathy met Ronald (Ron) Alan Geiger through her sister Karen on a double date with Ron’s brother Lawrence (Larry) Raymond Geiger. Kathy later married Ron on January 21, 1967, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colorado Springs. They were married for 46 years until Ron passed away on May 22, 2013. During these 46 years, Kathy and Ron built a successful excavation business and raised a family. Kathy and Ron lived in the Black Forest for 19 years before they moved to Elbert, Colorado, in 1986.
Kathy was proud of being a rural United States postal carrier for five years before she was injured in an auto accident and could not return to work. During her retirement, she enjoyed her time at her house in Elbert, where she also cared for her brother, Patrick Caswell.
Kathy is survived by her son, Terry (Juvie) Geiger of Elbert, and her daughter, Rhonda Pacheo of Elbert. Sister, Karen (Larry) Constable Thornton, CO, Brothers: Michael (Kathy) Jacksonville, Ark and Patrick of Colorado Springs, CO.
