Kayla attended Widefield High School where she was a three-sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball and soccer. She graduated her senior year as Student Body President followed by graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Psychology. Upon graduation, Kayla accepted a position as a Colorado Springs employee, where she continued working for the remainder of her career.
Kayla enjoyed spending time outdoors – especially in warm weather and creating unique pieces through diamond art. Her all-time favorite activity was camping at Weston Pass. The memories her family made while fishing in the stream, relaxing around the campfire, going to bed at “o’dark thirty,” and squishing into the old jeep are ones we will forever cherish.
Kayla is remembered for her kindness to strangers, a smile that lit up any room she was in, her happy, bubbly laugh, a quick wit, brutal honesty and her unwavering love for her nieces and nephews. She is imagined dancing around heaven and spreading her wings as she awaits to be reunited with friends and family again.
Kayla was loved by so many and will be deeply, deeply missed. She is survived by her parents, Tim and Cindy Hogan, her brother and sister-in-law, Brendan and Kim Hogan, her sister and brother-in-law, Erin and Brandon Stock, her nieces Rylee and Ariya Hogan and Hollis Stock, her nephews, Gabriel and Darian (Bear) Hogan and Weston Stock and multiple Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her niece, Jaydynn Hogan, her Aunt, Ann Hogan, her grandparents Clifford and Marketa Protze and Benard and Patricia Hogan.
A Celebration of Life will take place on August 8, 2026 in Colorado Springs, CO.
