Kenneth Bond Lippincott, born on June 29, 1944, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 81. He was a resident of Fountain, Colorado. Ken was born in Denver, Colorado the youngest of three children to Willis and Mary Jane Lippincott. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Ricci (husband Paul), and preceded in death by his brother Jim. He graduated in 1962 from South High School in Denver where he met the love of his life, Karen. Soon after graduation, they married and recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary!
Ken was a high school teacher, coach and principal, administrator, youth leader and pastor in Colorado, Wyoming and New Jersey. His passion for building his community led him early in his career to be the NJ State Director of the Office of General Adult and Continuing Education. His hard work was recognized as a Mott Foundation Fellow; recipient of the NJ Jaycees Distinguished Service Award; recipient of the Jaycees Man of the Year Award; and twice profiled in Outstanding Young Men of America. He has held many community activist roles throughout his career and into retirement.
His love for Jesus often motivated him to welcome people into his home for a meal or a Bible study with Karen by his side. Ken loved spending time with his family including his two daughters, Kristin (husband Mark) and Krystal (husband Eric), and six grandchildren Ashley, Kaela, Jordan (wife Olivia), Ryan (wife Faith), Morgan (husband Jerod) Macy and three great granddaughters, Eliora, Joy and Sophie.
Believing all are called to be a part of building God’s kingdom regardless of age or ability, Ken followed through in retirement with his dream to be an author and published two novels, Freedom’s Tree and Restoring Blair House. The third book of the trilogy is nearly completed.
He will be remembered saying, “Inhumanity to any man withered the fruit of Freedom’s Tree, but truth and justice, grace and mercy call forth life renewed.” as well as “All are bruised, all flawed, all have secrets, and everyone wants a second chance.” Ken’s life was a testimony that God gives second chances, and he became someone who often extended the same mercy to others. He will be dearly missed…indubitably.
