I had met Kyle in the 80's hanging out in Colorado Springs. It was always nice to see him at Autono shows and other social events. A wonderful guy with a mischievous grin. I am a cyclist and bicycle mechanic now and it pains me greatly to hear of another bicycle related tragedy. Kudos to Kyle for being a donor. Rest In Peace Kyle.

Kyle, you were my best friend, my protector, and my strength. We were Irish twins that know one could separate. I miss you and will soar with you one day.

When I met Kyle for the first time I loved him as if I always loved him.  He shared wonderful stories with me, long chats, well written letters, and wonderful unforgettable music.  I will always be one of your biggest fans.  My heart is broken, as I believe are so many others and I hope all those that are hurting over this monumental lose will somehow find peace in their hearts knowing he will be our own very special choir boy in heaven.  We will see soon, Kyle.  Make Us Believe!

I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this news.  My condolences to the Keefe family - Harry, Colleen, Joe, Shane, Moira, and Erin -  you guys are top-notch, always watching out for each other.  I have nothing but fond memories of Kyle (and indeed all of you) - probably the last time I saw him was when he was just 13.  Here's to happier times.  "Sailboat Races! Sailboat Races! Two o' clock!  Two o' clock!".

When my brother Brian told us the sad news about Kyle, our hearts broke right along with yours.  The boys were friends from LPHS Class of 1982 and had just seen each other at the reunion last month.  Praying that God will hold Kyle gently in His loving arms until you can once again hold him in yours...  Much Love, the McWhorter Family.

I am so sad for your loss.  My heart sank when I heard it was Kyle that was hit.  You may not remember me but I grew with the Keefe family on the ranch until we moved away after my freshman year.  I have so many fond memories of that time. I wish you strength to make it through this difficult time.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

when I heard the news a wave of memories washed through my heart, streaming down like tears. Kyle was truly a joy - as were the lot of you - each one a magical part of my childhood - and I a fortunate soul to have shared so many wonderful times. So glad I got to see Kyle 3 weeks ago, even if it was only for a few minutes. Same great smile; same sweet person. Very glad those of you who got to be a part of his life got to enjoy a wonderful soul. May good memories carry you thru this hard time.

I have known Erin since our college days in Santa Barbara and met Kyle several times at Keefe family events through the years.  I remember the the soul you'd see in his eyes, his true passion for life.  My heart goes out to all of you.  Erin, Joan and Harry, I'm sending hugs from CA. I met Kyle in the 80's at UCCS and he was a great supporter of the bands I was in from The Autono to The Lo-Fi Cowboys. He would show up at shows wherever we were playing, whether it was Denver, Woodland Park, Colorado Springs or a random night in some dive. It was always a nice surprise. We had alot of the same taste in music and a similar outlook on life, and more than a supporter of my bands, he was a supporter of me personally, always telling me not to give up and quit playing when things got rough. He was a friend with whom I could always "pick up the conversation where it left off", no matter how long it had been since we had spoken or seen each other. 49 years old is too young to go, and I am so very sad for him and his family. I will miss him greatly. 



Kyle - we love you and miss you little brother. Your tremendous kindness and generosity will live on in all you touched. See you on the other side - Jopher
