Lauree Janelle Noe

Lauree Janelle Noe, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away in the early morning hours of September 2, 2019 at the age of 95.
Lauree was born on August 1, 1924 in Fort Dodge, IA to Ethel Dale Lindberg and Lewis Lindberg. She grew up in Lehigh, IA and graduated high school there.
After graduation, she went to San Francisco and worked as a telephone operator. She enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Carson as a Private Basic WAC from 11/11/1944 - 7/30/1946 serving in the American Theater of Operations as an x-ray technician. She received the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Victory Medal, and American Theater Ribbon.
Lauree married James Kenneth Noe in Hinsdale, IL on May 10, 1947. They were happily married for 58 years until his death in 2005. They had one daughter, Janelle Denise Noe (Webb), who died in 1982.
She was a loving wife and mother. She had a kind watchful eye over all the neighborhood children who played with Janelle at her home. She was also a devoted daughter to her mother and mother-in-law, managing their care as they aged.
Lauree enjoyed music, sewing, crafts, bowling, swimming, crossword puzzles, reading, and watching hockey and football. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother (Ted Lindberg), husband and daughter. She is survived by 2 nephews, Earl Noe of Boulder, CO and Ted Lindberg, Jr. of Grass Valley, CA, and dear friends Trudy, Donna, Pat and Margaret.
Those who knew her will miss her twinkling eyes and sweet smile.
