

Lawrence (Larry) J. O’Sullivan Jr., beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on December 18, 2017, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, February 3, 1951, the second of four children born to Lawrence J. Sr. and Shirl O’Sullivan.
Larry graduated from Wasson High School in 1969. After graduation, he worked his whole life as a semi-truck driver, driving for many different entities from American Electric Inc. to the City of Colorado Springs. He was a dedicated employee and especially enjoyed helping to train new drivers. Later in life, Larry developed a love for stained glass and candle making and his loving creations brightened the lives of many.
Friends and family were extremely important to Larry. His generosity was legendary. He freely shared with others his time, talent, and treasure. He was always ready to listen, and happy to share his wisdom over a cup of coffee.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jan O’Sullivan, and his father, Lawrence J. O’Sullivan, Sr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Shirl O’Sullivan of Orange Park, FL; sister, Teri O’Sullivan of Denver, CO; brothers, Dan O’Sullivan of Colorado Springs, CO and David O’Sullivan of Orange Park, FL; and nieces and nephews, Katie O’Sullivan, Daniel O’Sullivan Jr., Meridith O’Sullivan, Beverly Chavez, Vincent and Steven Trottner, Kelly O’Sullivan, Lauren Biesemeyer, Morgan O’Sullivan, and Ryan O’Sullivan.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 29, 2017 from 9:00-9:30 am for the family and 9:30-10:00 am for friends at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Dr, Colorado Springs, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. A reception for family and friends will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, following the reception.
