Leilani Bindejo Hubbell

Leilani Bindejo Hubbell, age 57, passed away on August 22, 2026. Born on February 25, 1969, in Davao Oriental, Philippines, she was the beloved daughter of Dominador Bindejo and Cresencia Meil Bindejo, and the youngest of eight children.

Lani completed grade school and high school in the Philippines and continued her education at Universitary San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City. From her earliest years, she carried herself with a steady thoughtfulness and a quiet strength—qualities that would remain evident throughout her life.

After moving to the United States, Lani found genuine satisfaction in working with her hands and spent time with several manufacturing companies. She later took her oath of U.S. Citizenship in Centennial, Colorado on July 27, 2017, a meaningful milestone that reflected both her resilience and her brave willingness to embrace new chapters with purpose.

Lani met her spouse, Rosario (Rocky) Hubbell, in Singapore. They were married in the Philippines on August 30, 2003. Her devotion to those she loved was constant and unmistakable, expressed through loyalty, kindness, and the everyday care that makes a family feel anchored and seen.

Lani’s greatest passion was her family—her daughter, Nikka Marie Bindejo (Apio-White); her son-in-law, Marco Apia-White; and her three grandchildren, Levi, Kiyori, and Oren. She was intentional about setting time aside for each grandchild, and if she was not with them, she was planning, preparing, or calling to arrange the next visit. She is also survived by several siblings and a multitude of extended family and friends—too many to list. Lani never met a stranger.

Travel was among Lani’s cherished joys, especially trips shared with her husband and many adventures alongside Michelle and Scott Mackey. In those moments, her adventurous spirit shone brightly, and she perfected the art of the “selfie,” leaving behind a generous collection of photographs—copious memories that will continue to bring comfort, laughter, and remembrance.

Lani will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection: for her kind heart, her steadfast loyalty, her resilience through life’s changes, and the thoughtful way she made others feel welcome. Her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will remain a lasting presence in the lives she touched.
