Leland, Lee, or "Red" is survived by his wife, JoAnn Gordon (nee Diehl), his children; Karen Sawyer(Doug), Karl Gordon, and Keith Gordon. He is survived by 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Floyd Gordon; his mother Edee Gordon(Price) and his brother Ronald Gordon.
Leland was born in Hermosa Beach California on December 18, 1933. He served in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years. He became an electrician and was employed by Hewlett Packard prior to his retirement. On January 18, 1958 he married JoAnn. He was the proud father of Karen, Karl and Keith.
Leland enjoyed the outdoors. He loved the mountains, camping and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling. He and JoAnn had many travels together, including most of the National Parks throughout the United States. He was a skilled and intuitive organist and enjoyed playing for his avid listeners. He also enjoyed being a ham radio operator and connection with fellow operators. He loved to read and had a broad expanse of knowledge in a variety of topics. His dry sense of humor and keen wit were appreciated by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
