Leta was born in Lamar, Colorado on July 27, 1952, the second child of Warren O. Green and Janie V. Verheul Green.
Leta graduated from Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs and from Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs with an Associates Degree in Graphic Arts.
Leta’s most recent passions have been her karate family, her work with The Compassionate Friends and her journey to find truth with the Word of God through the Radiant Church. She loved planting and caring for her flowers and the hummingbirds around the house and would often retreat into her sewing room to work on a special sewing project. Leta crafted beautiful blankets and shawls for her friends and was adept at making wonderful jewelry.
Leta was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Lanny O. Green and her son, Aaron Paul Levett.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Stewart Levett; In-laws, Ellen Levett Heeney (Gary), Howard Levett; Multiple Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and friends. She will be missed by the Pastors, staff and especially her “Sisters” in Women of the Word at Radiant Church.
The funeral service will be held at Radiant Church, 4020 Maizeland Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909 on Tuesday, November 22nd at 11am and will be live streamed to Leta’s Facebook Page for those unable to attend.
