Letha Lorraine Rasdall Becker, beloved Widow of Robert Dean Becker, Sr., who preceded her in death 36 hours earlier. Mother of 3, Grandmother of 7, Great Grandmother of 11, and Great-Great Grandmother of 3, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, March 28, 1926, the second of three children born to the late Henry and Daisy Warfield Rasdall.
Letha (Lea) graduated from Wyandotte County High School at Kansas City, Kansas in 1944. Letha had many jobs before moving with her family to Pueblo, Colorado in 1958. She became an LPN working at the Pueblo State Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. In 1961 her husband and three children moved to Colorado Springs where she went into banking. She worked at First National Bank, Liberty Industrial Bank, and Pikes Peak Federal Credit Union, as well as becoming an Assistant Vice President at the Citadel Bank.
Family and friends were very important to her. She was a caregiver who would never stop giving. She had the greatest sense of humor. Loved practical jokes, but especially the same ones she would do to Robert over and over again because he would forget by the next year. For instance, every April Fool’s Day she would tell him he had a hole in his pants, and every year he fell for it. As well as telling people the opposite way to turn their clocks for Daylight Savings Time. She was so smart, and so very funny.
She had the biggest and most loving heart. She would forgive people over and over again and still love. She had that unconditional love for her friends and family. She would do anything for anybody, to a fault sometimes. And when you hurt her she would cry, but you would never know because she didn’t want to hurt you. She would then try again, and give us clean slate. She had to do that so many times. But God gave her wisdom and so much strength. He made her the best friend and Mother, but especially most loving, devoted “Little Bride” to Robert. ‘Til death do us part, is what people say. l say they’re still together on this very day. They were smart enough to follow Jesus, and they were guaranteed their love with Him FOREVER!!! They passed 36 hours apart and never knew the other was gone. My prayer, as well as others' prayers were for them to never know the other was gone and not feel the pain and loss. Our prayers were answered when they both went unresponsive the same day.
GOD IS GOOD!!! Remember to not miss any moments. Remind me, Dear Lord.
She will be deeply and truly missed. We love you, Mommy!
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children and grandchildren, daughter Teri Ann and husband Gary Reinmuth, and their son Rob and wife Kris; daughter Shelley and husband Keith Welch; and Tim and wife Carrie Reinmuth, as well as all of their children; daughter Sandra Lea Walsh and her son, Jesse Blackwell and daughter Tiffany Blackwell; son Robert Dean Becker, Jr. and wife Autumn and his son Nikolas Becker and wife Panda and son Casey Becker, as well as all of their children.
