Linda Louise Dodd, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went to be with the Lord while at home on November 29, 2018, in Fountain, Colorado. She was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, June 8, 1947, the oldest of 4 children to the late William R. Graef and Rosemary C. Graef.
Linda traveled with her family internationally while her father was in the Air Force, staying the longest overseas in England. After returning to the United States she lived in California and graduated from Atwater High School in 1965. She came to Colorado Springs in 1972 and settled here and married Robert in 1976. Linda worked for a time for a local bakery and then with Hewlett Packard until she began to build a family and then became a stay at home mother.
Linda’s family and friends were extremely important to her. She would always be doing things for others by baking and decorating cakes, making quilts, afghans, blankets, cross stitch, children’s sweaters, knitted baby caps for newborns, and more for her friends and others. Linda also loved the Lord and going to church.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Robert E. Dodd, loving sons, Jude Dodd of Gillette, Wyoming, and Nicholas (Melissa) Dodd of Colorado Springs, and granddaughter Isabella Dodd. Also her siblings, Claire Elizabeth (Graef) Marchand of Fort Bragg, California and William Graef of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Her youngest brother, Andrew Graef preceded her in passing.
Viewing will take place from 11:30 to 1:00 followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 at Calvary Fellowship Fountain Valley, 4945 Cable Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. The celebration of Linda’s life will continue after the service with food and fellowship with a pot luck in the fellowship hall next to the church.
