

Linda Kay Meagher was born in Cincinnati, OH on the last day of 1959. Her birth was so anticipated that a huge celebration broke out. The celebration still continues today. People around the world celebrate the day of her birth. When Linda was about 2 they moved from Cincinnati to Dayton, OH. They lived around Dayton until Linda was about 14 and then they moved to Tipp City. When Linda was a young lady, she moved to Colorado Springs, CO. She loved Colorado.
Linda worked for many years as a waitress at Big Train Restaurant in Colorado Springs. People would wait to be served by Linda even when there were open tables in other sections. Linda could do 10 things at a time and all the while making people laugh. She would always go for the laugh and then say “Made you Laugh!”. Linda was an old school waitress having plates of food all the way up her arm in an amazing balancing act. After Big Train, Linda worked at McKenzie Place retirement home and Winslow Court retirement home as a waitress. She took her charm and humor to those places much to the delight of the residents.
Linda liked camping, bingo, pool, concerts/live music, and gardening. She loved going to the blues jam at the Navajo Hogan on Sundays to listen to the Blues. She also attended concerts at local venues and liked going to Red Rocks when she could.
Linda was a great pool player. Several times a week she would get out to play at one of the local pool halls. In her younger years, she won 2nd place in the city women’s division.
At her home she had a beautiful flower garden and she also would put seeds in the rocks in front. Every year the rocks come to life with marigolds and zinnias.
Linda kept in contact with her brother Milton who lives in Texas. Linda also had 3 children. A son Christopher Michael, and two daughters Rianne and Jennie.
Linda will be privately laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
