Lonnie Mings

Lonnie Carl Mings, of Colorado Springs, passed into the Arms of Jesus on November 21, 2024, at his home, 18 N 20th Street, at 6:40 a.m. Lonnie was born in Campbellsville, KY on March 8, 1939, to Ray and Mattie Mings.

The Funeral/ Celebration of Life service will be held on December 7th, at 2 p.m., at Academy Christian Church Westside, 2002 W. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs. Viewing will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with the service to follow.

Following the service, burial will be at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Coral, son James (Marti), daughter Jana (Raymond), daughter Jill, grandson, Robert James (Kelsey), sister Carol (Mike), sister-in-law, Charlotte Mings, brother, Dale Mings (Patty) and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, two great-great-nephews, and one great-great-niece.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful Hospice staff at Envision and Abode agencies, who cared for Lonnie so well. We also want to thank the St. Francis Hospital staff for their excellent care when Lonnie had to go back to the hospital for three days. He was well cared for.
