Lorraine C. John, 93, passed away at home on September 20, 2010 by her husband’s side. Lorraine began her career in the dental profession as a dental assistant in a private dental firm in Minneapolis after which she joined the US Army during WW II and served three years as a Dental Technician She then went back to school to become a Radiologist. She was very fond of embroidery, crochet, quilting and cooking. She was a wonderful wife and a loving mother. She was always a great volunteer in many charities, as well as for the Naval Relief Society.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Ed, sons; George, Stanley and Robert, daughter, Mari, sister Emma Southwick, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Frances Farwick, and brothers, Paul and Herb.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 pm and a Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10:00 am, both of which will be held at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 N. Carefree Circle.
