She was born July 22, 1941 in Hampton, Iowa to Ralph and Neora Kothe. She was an only child. She attended grade school in Hampton before moving to Colorado Springs where she went to East Jr. School and then to Colorado Springs high school, graduating in 1959.
In 1959 Lynnetta met Gerald Doty and married on June 24, 1961 in Syracuse, New York as Gerald was in the Air Force there. She was an Air Force wife for 19 and a half years and lived in many places including Germany and Turkey. During that time she and Gerald raised four children, Deborah, Susan, Diane (deceased) and Joel.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, and various games. After retiring in 2000, she and Gerald traveled mostly by motorhome to all 50 states. Her favorite trip was to Israel.
She is survived by her husband and 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Service at Highland Park (The Table) Church on February 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM with a Reception to follow.
