Mae joined the Southern Arizona Women in Travel (SAWIT) group as one of its original members back in 1987.
Even after the group disbanded,  Mae regularly attended monthly dinner gatherings with fellow former members committed to the promotion of Tucson's tourism/travel community.
As the group's official historian, Mae kept a detailed account of activities and members; and as the unofficial photographer, she captured hundreds of images of the group throughout nearly four decades (always taking photos, but rarely in them).
Mae's made us smile. She is loved and truly missed.

Years after volunteering for the Western Music Festival with Mae, I bumped into her at a Western Music event at Old Tucson. She immediately recognized me and called me by name.  What a sweet dear woman!  I hope I age half as gracefully! My deepest condolences to the family.   May your memories sustain you during this difficult time.



Mae will be missed by me personally as well as by all who were involved in Western Music and Old Time Fiddling in Southern Arizona. My most sincere prayers and deepest sympathy to Mae’s family. 

Mae was one wonderful Czech gal !  She and l shared many great times together at Tucson Estates  .
Mae will be sadly missed by all the faithful friends she has made over the long years ,of her happy ,contented lifetime .

Chuck and Mae were both very active in our fiddle organization for many years.  Music was one of Mae's greatest joys in life and she was well loved by all the members.  My sympathy and prayers to her family.
