Margaret Helen Beaty, born on April 3, 1958, in Kansas, was called home to our Lord on June 6, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and friends. Her life was a testament to grace, resilience, and boundless love—a life that touched many in ways words can scarcely capture.
Margaret was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Kathleen Beaty and one of seven siblings, part of a lively and close-knit family. From an early age, Margaret exemplified strength and determination, qualities that would define her remarkable journey. As the daughter of a dedicated Air Force father, Margaret developed a love for adventure and a deep appreciation for the bonds of family wherever life took her.
Margaret proudly served her country, following in her father’s footsteps with her own distinguished career in the Air Force. Rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, she traveled the world including two remote tours taking her away from her family, embracing each new assignment and the opportunities they brought with grace and fortitude. Her service and leadership left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the communities she touched.
In 1986, Margaret married the love of her life, John Charles Heyne, and together they built a life overflowing with love and cherished memories. Their 39 years of marriage were a testament to unwavering devotion and partnership. Margaret and John were blessed with two precious children, James and Jessica, a beloved stepdaughter Tonya, eight wonderful grandchildren—five grandsons and three granddaughters—and one Great Granddaughter born in July of 2024, each of whom was the light of Margaret's life.
After retiring from the Air Force, Margaret seamlessly transitioned to a life of community service, dedicating herself to those in need. With a heart as big as the skies she once flew under, she volunteered with numerous organizations and her beloved church, always ready to lend a hand and uplift those around her. Her selflessness and generosity were boundless, and she was a guiding light for all who knew her.
Margaret wore many hats in her life's journey: daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Each role she embraced with love and a rare authenticity, creating deep and lasting connections with everyone fortunate enough to share in her life. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith served as a source of strength and inspiration to all.
Margaret loved deeply and lived fully. She worshiped her Lord with an open and joyful heart, cherished her family with fierce devotion, and valued her friends as treasures beyond measure. She found beauty in the simple joys of life, from time spent with her grandchildren to moments of quiet reflection in prayer.
Margaret Helen Beaty will be remembered as a beacon of love and service, a woman of unshakeable faith, and a soul who enriched the lives of countless others. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Though our hearts are heavy with the weight of her absence, we find solace in the knowledge that she now rests in eternal peace, embraced by the arms of her Savior. Margaret, you will be deeply missed, but your light will continue to shine in the lives you so profoundly touched.
Rest in peace, dear Margaret. Your journey here may have ended, but your love and spirit will endure forever.
