Margaret Cecilia Dragoo

October 20, 1943 - March 7, 2017

Margaret was born October 20, 1943 to Harold Dell and Neva Faye Choate, who preceded her in death, and was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. She is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Dragoo, daughters Deborah Dragoo and Cheryl Anderson, granddaughters Samantha Anderson, Rachel Anderson, and Melanie Anderson, great-grandson Jason McLaughlin, and sisters Carol Norton and Mary Lovall.

Margaret married Richard Dragoo in 1964 and, over the next 53 years, devoted her life to her family. She supported Dick through 25 years of being a firefighter; and they owned Rite Line Stripping for 6 years. She always had her family’s best interests at heart and doted on her granddaughters and great-grandson. Margaret loved the Colorado Mountains, playing cards, board games, and never missed Jeopardy or NCIS.

A Memorial Service will held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10:30am at Heart of the Springs Church, located at 2726 N Union Blvd in Colorado Springs. A reception will follow then a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lester L. Williams Fire Museum, CSFD Fire Explorers 1894 or your favorite charity.
