Margaret was born and raised in Southern California. She attended Hollywood High School where she was a member of an acapella choir and a member of the golf team. Margaret began her career as a medical records technician at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, where she met her husband, Walter Pritzlaff. They were married on December 24, 1998 in a lovely ceremony at the Penrose Hospital Chapel. Margaret and her first husband, Robert Polonsky, had two children together, Joe and Ann.
A kind and loving spirit, Margaret had an enormous capacity to listen to the cares of others. She had a large heart for the least of God’s creatures, her kitties being her special love. She loved to go on adventures, traveling throughout Colorado and neighboring states. She enjoyed looking up and visiting areas with old homesteads, and tripping down new paths to explore. She especially enjoyed visiting her son’s burro racing adventures throughout the state of Colorado.
Margaret is survived by her husband Walter, her children Ann Polonsky and Joe Polonsky, her brother Tom McGowan, her sister Judy Recek, and her two adored cats, Princess and Pearl.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on May 20th, from 1-5PM at the Western Museum of Mining and History, 225 North Gate Boulevard, Colorado Springs.
The family welcomes donations in Margaret’s honor to Double Rainbow Ranch and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
