Margie Tanner, 77, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on September 8, 2015 with family by her side.
She was born February 5, 1938 in Greenville, Alabama, to Curtis and Margie McCoy. She was a dedicated homemaker who raised her children in numerous cities from Sioux City, Iowa to Okinawa, Japan while her husband served in the Air Force. She enjoyed fashion, social outings, and laughing with family and friends.
Margie is remembered with love by her husband of 57 years, James; son, Anthony (Velda); daughter, Denise (Howard); son, Michael (Amanda); grandchildren, Yvonne, Shane, Jordan, Carmen, Howard III, Taylor, Lindsay (Travis); great-grandchildren, Cheyann, Daniel, Jr., Colton. She is preceded in death by her father and her grandson, Robert Tanner.
All services at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and funeral on Monday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m.
Margie’s strength, elegance, and beautiful spirit will be carried in our hearts forever.
