Erma was born November 10, 1933 in Canjlion, New Mexico. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who brought joy to everyone's heart. She was a wonderful example of strength and faith. Her bright smile and laughter was the light to everyone's day.
She is survived by 6 children, Maria Olivas, Lisa Latorre, Ruby Alvarado, Terri Rivera, Romolo Chavez and Toby Chavez, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Viola Martinez and Severa Garcia. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 63 years, Jose R. Chavez. Parents, Tobas and Arcella Garcia, 5 Siblings and 3 grandchildren.
The viewing will be held on Friday August 2, 2013, from 6:00-9:00 pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., followed by services on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
