Maria (Italiano) "Mary" Kaelber, a native of Syracuse, New York, passed away in Colorado on December 27, 2020 as a result of infection with the SARS COV2 virus. Remarkably, at age 102, Mrs. Kaelber was a survivor of the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic and was the last of the seven children of Francisco and Carmina Italiano to pass away. Her husband Dr. Charles Kaelber, also of Syracuse, New York, practiced medicine for 30 years both in Syracuse and in Manheim, Pennsylvania. He preceded Mary in death in 2002. Both Mary and Charles were early members of St. Michaels Lutheran Church in Camillus. Their son, Willam Charles Kaelber died in 1987 and Mrs. Kaelber is now survived by her only daughter, Donna Kaelber Strom of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mrs. Kaelber is also survived by three grandsons and three great grandchildren. If you wish to remember Mary, please do so in your heart. Any contributions which are received in her name will be gratefully passed directly to The Antimalaria Fund and The Nature Conservancy - for the love of children and the protection of nature.
