December 16, 1931April 30, 2021

Marjorie Mae Creamer of Colorado Springs, CO passed away peacefully April 30, 2021. Marge was born December 16, 1931 in Sundance, WY and attended school in Sundance and Newcastle, WY and Spearfish, SD. After completing her nursing training in Omaha, NE she returned to Wyoming long enough to be married to her loving husband Roger Creamer, who was then in the U.S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, VA. Marge enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and internationally with her family and friends. She absolutely lived life to the fullest. Among her many adventures were radio-collaring a Yellowstone grizzly bear, whitewater rafting in Colorado, the southwestern U.S. and Alaska, landing a 198 pound halibut in Alaska, photographing polar bears in Canada, sky diving with her grandson Samuel, and crossing high above the Zambezi River in southern Africa on a zipline. She was a longstanding and active member of the Colorado Springs Striders hiking club, the Harmony (Teal) bowling league and the Solos, where she made many treasured friends. Marge had an adventurous spirit, a caring soul and a loving heart and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Marge attended my water aerobic class off and on for 10 years at Lynmar in Colorado Springs. I always loved having her! She and her dear friend Sally were my favorites and even after i stopped teaching the classes the two of them would meet me for lunch just to catch up! I loved Marge and always enjoyed our visits. It was especially fun hearing about all the places she and her hiking group went each Thursday! Imagine my surprise when after my mom re-married and they invited my husband and me to go hiking with them I ran into Marge! She belonged to the very same hiking group as my new was such fun especially since i had heard about this hiking group for 10 years! She was an adventurous soul and always had the best stories to tell...she was loved and will be missed!! 💝

Margie was such a special lady, neighbor and friend. I have many fond memories of our lives at the Villas. A lovely person inside and out. I know she will be talking to my mom again soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Rest in peace.🕊

Myself never really knew her very well and met her at her daughters wedding who so happens to be my brother Jay. I was so impressed by her being such a fit into everyone’s joining of different families as kind of a facilitator and bonding of age and togetherness.
I’ll never forget her and a few of us taking shots of Rum after the wedding ceremony.
Was blessed to get to know her and her family over a few short years.
Years ago in which is long past. Readers Digest had a small section called “Unforgettable Characters” This lady is in my book of the few in my life who meets this criteria.
As always, will be sorely missed.

To the family of Marj Creamer'
I'm so sorry for your loss. Marj was always very nice to me during the 7-plus years I've lived across the circle. I never got to know her well, but we would wave when we saw each other and always had a good conversation at neighborhood events.
