Mary Agnes "Bunny" Sutherland

Mary A.”Bunny” Sutherland , beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 24, 2014 at home with family . She was born June 5, 1925 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Mary E. and William R. Aitken.

Bunny graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1943. She married Richard J. Sutherland in 1945.

She was talented and enjoyed oil painting and stitchery part time. She was past president of B.P.O.E Elks Lodge 309 and life member of the ladies auxiliary.

Family and friends were important in her life. Her laughter and sense of humor and unconditional love for her family and friends will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted husband of 69 years Richard; loving children, Jack Sutherland [Patsy] of Port Townsend, WA., Mark Sutherland of Colorado Springs, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be on July 2nd, 2014 at 11:00 am at Swan Law Mortuary. Bunny will be laid to rest at Shrine of Remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pikes Peak Hospice.
