Mary Beth Junk, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on November 27, 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Bay City, Michigan, February 9, 1960. The third of seven children born to the late Lawrence Primeau and is survived by her mother Claire Perkins.
Mary graduated from Meridian High School in 1978, graduating in the top 10% of her class as a wife and mother. Shortly after graduation she and young family moved to Colorado, where she spent many years as a Project Manager and Estimator for commercial construction supply companies until she started her own business in ornamental iron supply.
Family and friends were very important in her life. She enjoyed Theater, Nascar Racing, and bragging on the accomplishments of all her children and granddaughter. All holidays and family gatherings were made special with Mary’s ability to cook amazing foods from almost anything.
She leaves behind her long-time partner, Rob DeJong; Mother, Claire Perkins of New Port Richey Florida; children Matthew Crawford of Colorado Spring; Sara (Manny) Ebuk of Cheyenne Wyoming; and Brittany Junk of Rapid City South Dakota; granddaughter Khai-Lia Junk; siblings Karen Pforr, Robert Primeau, Janine Rogers, Cathy Puharic, and Terri Smith; as well as a group of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Lawrence Primeau, and brother John Primeau.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, December 2, 2022, beginning at 11:00 am at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, 5256 N. Union Blvd, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80918.
