Mary Martha Salata

Mary Martha was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on August 11, 1930, to William and Sara (Cheffy) Biggio. She attended Catholic Central High School in Steubenville and graduated from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. She married John Robert Salata in 1953. After her marriage, she worked in Washington, DC, as a schoolteacher, while her husband completed his medical education at Georgetown University. After her time in Washington, she lived in Hawaii, where her husband served as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy. She and her husband eventually settled in Colorado Springs, where she was active for many years in local church, cultural and charitable organizations.

Mary Martha is preceded in death by her husband, who recently passed away on December 22, 2022, by her sister Virginia and her brother John, and by her parents. She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
