As a Springs native, thanks for your service to our community.  As a fellow Officer, thoughts and prayers from Roswell Police Department.  Job well done.

We send our prayers for the family of officer Matthew Tyner. I have a brother that is a police officer in the state of Alabama and I can understand the dangers of the job. May God help the family through this sad time in their lives. May God bless the family.

My father was a LE officer for 23 years, and I was always grateful that he came home to my family. It saddens me to see that this man will not. Condolences to his family and fellow officers.

Thank you for serving our comunity. My sincere condolences to his family,friends and CSPD.

Matt was a colleague to my wife and he left a wonderful impact on her.  He was a driven, compassionate, and very bright and happy person. Only recently, had I met him, and he had a spirit to be revered.  He will be missed, but honored by those who cared for him in any capacity.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time of loss.  We pray you celebrate his life by living yours to the fullest.

Matt, we appreciate all you have given/sacrificed for our community and the wonderful man you were.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. The loss of a Police Officer saddens me so very much, especially when he was doing what he was trained to do.  Rest in peace, our guardian of the community, your watch is done. Matt was one of my oldest and best friends.  We worked together at the K-mart located on Bannister Road.  I feel blessed to have known him and of us being friends.  The many laughs and adventures we shared will never be forgotten.  Rest in Peace my dear friend.

I went to Santa Fe Elementary with Matt and remember playing with him, Mary Todd and Stan when he lived near K-mart. Matt was part of my childhood and  Jeff was a part of my adulthood at DST. I am so sorry to read about Matt in the KC paper this morning. I'm thankful to have met and known him. Peace and strength to the family.

Tyner family you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I am a wife a police officer and know my reading Matt's obituary that he loved his job and was loved by his co-workers.  He did his job well and I pray for your comfort and strength.

I think Matt's own quote on his Facebook page says it all...."Don't be afraid of dying, be afraid of not living" and that's exactly what he did, LIVE.  We met in college and I will always cherish his friendship and his humor.

Pat & Family, We are so sorry to hear about Matt. He was such a Fun Kid, Growing up on our street, working with Cindy at K-Mart and Graduating from Hickman Mills High School with Peggy.  Always with a postive attitude. God Bless your Family, in this time of need.
