Maxine Scott

Maxine Marie Scott passed away on February 1st, 2012 at the age of 76 after a long, brave struggle against cancer. She began life as one of twelve children born to Joe R. and Annie Chavez on December 13, 1935 in Weston, Colorado. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Archie Turner Scott; they would have celebrated 55 years of marriage in September. Although both traveled and lived in many places over the years, Colorado Springs was always considered home. She will be missed more than words could ever express. Her love, laughter and wonderful sense of humor will always be held dear by all who were close to her. She was kind to everyone she met, leaving behind many friends with wonderful memories. Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of her husband and two children, Wanda and Trenton, their spouses, extended family and a circle of friends, a void only her love can fill.
