Maxine retired in 1986 after 17 years with Hewlett Packard. She was a long-standing member of Heritage Baptist Church and a member of Gold Star Wives Club in Colorado Springs.
Maxine was born in Dubach on February 25, 1922, to Lee and Ola Davis. She had nine siblings, two of which survive.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her darling husband, Ed, in 1972, and son-in-law Alan Hartwell.
Maxine is survived by daughters Carol Hartwell of Dubach and Jan (David) Gaw of Colorado Springs, and son Walt Stoelting (Dorrine Johnson) of Mishawaka, Indiana; sister Helen Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and brother Sam (Ann) Davis of Houston, Texas; grandchildren David (JoAn) Hartwell, Sue (Russell) Barfield, and Jimmy Hartwell of Dubach, Tammi Gaw of Washington, D.C., Matthew (Sarah) Gaw of Colorado Springs, Joy (Bobby) Orf of Detroit, Michigan; twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear life-long friends. We all miss her smile and sense of humor so much.

Maxine was interred at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs. A Celebration of Life will be held in Colorado Springs at a date yet to be determined.
