What neat memories we have of times being in Calhan. Mrs. West was always cooking, cleaning and serving. It seemed like she never tired of doing for others. I always admired her bravery in driving that rural route in the harsh snowstorms in Colorado. And, then all of you kids going out driving and working the wheat harvest. This too makes me think of your Dad and the memories, too. They both had a love for their family and there were the laughs and fun, too. Mrs. West and you girls and husbands were such faithful supporters of my many year involvement in Missions in Guatemala and PERU. She loved missionaries and mom and I loved her. I remember her big Bible that she always had there near her in Calhan. What a beautiful legacy and testimony of God’s love, Maxine has left to all of us. We love you all. Thank you, Joyce for phone calling us to tell us about your Mom and great friend. Phyllis and Gwen.

A testament to a life well lived is reflected in the children raised! The West children are all outstanding people, kind, caring and resourceful. I loved your sweet family and know that this was a life well lived. Rest peacefully!

I loved my Aunt Tootsie. It was always so fun to stay at her house. We would play Barbies all morning and then rush to get the assigned housework finished before she came home at lunch. ❤️❤️ Cheryl
I loved Aunt Tootsie too. She was always so encouraging to me in my ministry. Always full of love and grace. I will miss her❤️ Rick
