On January 27, 1930, Melvin was born with his twin Elvin at home in Kendrick, CO to Henry and Charlotte Lindt. He spent many of his growing up years in the Edison community.
Melvin and Lois Lindt were married June 12, 1955 in Colorado Springs where they spent the majority of their married life.
For the bulk of his working life, he was employed in the construction industry, with the longest tenure being at Shepherd Homes. In his later years he worked at Howland Machine Company.
Melvin is survived by his wife Lois, a daughter, Althea, his grandson Connor and granddaughter, Clarabelle. He is also survived by many other extended family members.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, located at 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, on February 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
A committal service will follow at the same venue from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
Celebration of Life Services will then follow at 1pm at Mesa Hills Bible Church, 615 W. Uintah, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mesa Hills Bible Church missions fund.
