Michael was a loving son to Margaret Elizabeth and Lawrence Frederick Cady, and a devoted brother to Mark Cady, Douglas Cady, Carl Cady, MaryAnne Cady-Cooper, and Nancy Cady. He was a proud father to Elizabeth, Kylie, CJ, Joanna, and Jerald—steadfast in his care, generous in his love, and always protective of those who mattered most.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Margaret and Lawrence; his brothers, Douglas and Carl; and his daughter, Elizabeth.
Those who knew Michael will remember a man whose strength was matched by his kindness, and whose presence could steady a room while also bringing it to life. He had an easy way of connecting with people—charisma that never needed to be loud, and warmth that made others feel seen. Even in ordinary moments, he carried a playful spirit and a quiet optimism that helped those around him breathe a little easier.
Hockey was his favorite sport, and he also enjoyed golf—interests that suited him well, reflecting both his energy and his appreciation for time shared, competition enjoyed, and simple pleasures savored.
Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will last a lifetime. His generosity, his steady love, and his gift for drawing people in leave a legacy that will continue through every story told and every life he touched.
“Thank you for every laugh, every lesson, every piece of advice, and every memory. You will always be in our hearts, our minds, and our souls. We will carry your love with us for the rest of our lives. you are forever loved and forever missed.”
