Michael Arnold Grippo

Michael graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs in 1977, carrying forward a steady determination that would shape the years to come.

A hard-working man throughout his life, Michael served in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1984. He also worked as a CNA, bringing a gentle presence and devoted care to others through both service and profession.

Michael was married to Susan Grippo for 43 years, from 1978 until 2021, when she passed away. Together they built a family that remained at the center of his life. He is survived by his two children, Steve Grippo and Jessie Grippo; and by two grandchildren, Isabella and Caden Grippo.

In quieter moments, Michael found satisfaction in wood working and enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos.

Michael will be remembered for being loving and accepting of everyone. His steady resilience and openhearted way of welcoming others made a lasting impression—so much so that his children’s friends always referred to him as “Dad.”

He is at peace now with his loving wife of 43 years.
